Note:   We, the college counselors at Pembroke Hill, distribute this list of Rhodes Scholarship winners each year in our Counseling Handbook.   We do this not only because we are always fascinated by the wide range of collegiate institutions represented on this list annually, but also--admittedly--because it confirms the bias that each of us shares with regard to America's post-secondary institutions.   Specifically, we feel strongly that the United States is blessed with a number of outstanding colleges and universities.   We hope you'll take note of the fact that this list contains both public and private colleges, large and small institutions, single-sex colleges, institutions whose reputations are world-renowned as well as others that some of you may not know at all.
